Meet the staff

Rona Aston, Centre Manager

Rona joined the Society in 2000 as our Technical Resource Manager, developing this department up until she took the post of Centre Manager in January 2005. She is very keen to promote the Society and the interests of the clients. Any questions regarding the day to day activities of the Centre should be addressed to Rona.

Nora Monty, Home Visit Co-ordinator, photograph

Nora Monty, Home Visit/Shopping Scheme Co-ordinator

Nora joined the Society in April 2004. Nora is our Home Visit/Shopping Scheme Co-ordinator and overseas our team of volunteer home visitors and shopping scheme escorts. Newly registered people are put in contact with Nora through either family or social services referrals. Nora then visits the client to discuss their needs and to see if we can be of assistance.

Roisin Hanlon, Technology Resource Officer

Roisin joined the Society in 2004. Roisin looks after the Resource Centre, providing aids and information to visually impaired people. Roisin also takes our resource minibus out once a month, visiting outlying areas, to reach the people who are unable to visit the Centre. She also oversees the computer training and is our internal verifier for the New CLAIT series of qualifications. Roisin carries out assessments of new students to ensure that their computer needs are being met.

Christine, Resident Cook

Christine joined the Society in 2004. She provides a two course meal each day, plus tea's, coffee's and light refreshments, all at a very reasonable cost.  Christine is a strong believer in using good quality fresh produce, therefore creating very wholesome meals. Home baked produce is available for clients to take home.

Stevie Chantrell - Activities Organiser

Stevie joined the Society in 1999. She welcomes all clients on arrival to the Centre, helping them to feel at home.  Stevie organises all the activities in the Centre and accompanies them on theatre trips and outings.
