Social Centre

Our Social Centre is open every weekday from 10am - 2pm. Clients are collected on our fleet of minibuses from their own homes and brought to the centre. All our Drivers are trained in Visual Impairment Awareness.

We guarantee everyone a warm welcome. Refreshments are available upon arrival and everyone enjoys meeting new friends and having a good chat! Our resident cook provides a two course meal each day at a very reasonable price.

We plan a host of outings and activities throughout the year including annual outings to Scarborough in July and a Christmas Party in December.

Bingo is one of our popular activities.

Regular trips to local theatres and drama group presentations are thoroughly enjoyed. We also have visited local attractions, i.e. James Herriott's Museum in Thirsk and the Green Howard's Museum in Richmond.

New clients requiring transport to and from the Centre are required to apply to the Centre Manager on 01642 247518.

We regularly are privileged with visiting musicians and groups who kindly give of their time to help entertain our clients. These occasions are enjoyed by all and greatly appreciated.
