Computer Training

We are an approved training centre, with the Oxford, Cambridge and RSA Examinations Board to deliver the New Clait series of qualifications.

All computer training is carried out on a one to one basis - one tutor to one student.  Each student is allocated a one hour slot in the timetable each week.  We have a team of Volunteer Computer Tutors who are able to teach from a complete beginner to someone who wants to do webpage design!

Our specially equipped computer suite provides computers with Access technology, giving speech and or magnification.  All keyboards have high density stickers making them easier for a partially sighted person to use. We provide a choice of mouse - conventional or trackball, suitable for those with limited hand movement.

Once qualifications are achieved, many students move on to local colleges and universities to extend their qualifications and even obtain a Degree!
